If you want to send an SMS to a specific contact or to multiple contacts at the same time, you can easily do this within the system. Whether you’re reaching out to just one client with a personalized message or sending a batch SMS to a group, the process is simple and straightforward.
This article will walk you through the steps for both options, so you’ll know exactly how to send messages efficiently while keeping your communication organized.
Sending a One-on-One SMS
Here’s how:
Go to the client’s profile and open the Communications tab.
Select SMS.
Type the body of your message.
Choose whether to send now or schedule the email for later.
Sending an SMS Batch (multiple contacts)
You can send a text to different contacts at the same time. Batch texting gives you the possibility to choose contacts from the "All Contacts" group or any other group you want. You must ensure you have permission to be able to send Batch SMS.
Here are the steps:
Go to the your Contacts Grid or select a specific Contact Group (Leads, Members, Trials, etc.) and select the contacts you'd like to add in your batch SMS.
Once you have selected your contacts, click the Batch icon on the left side of your screen and select SMS from the drop down.
You can add templates for the texts.
Batch identifier: Batch ID, please send this number to the support team if you have questions about the batch.
Summary: Visual contact summary that allows you to keep closer control of the amount of contact and contact groups the batch will be sent to.
*** Important: As an Owner, you can select what number you want to send the SMS from, either the location number or another staff member's number (Additional Numbers). The idea of this is that if a staff member is on vacation or is not in for the day and there are some texts they have to reply to, the Owner can send them for them.
