Managing Location Phone Numbers and Call Handling

Setting up a dedicated SMS phone number for your location is an essential step. This number allows all staff members to send and receive text messages with leads and clients, keeping communications centralized and professional. Since this is a one-time setup, it’s important to choose a number that best represents your location and area.

  • Ensures all messages are organized under one number for your location.

  • Allows staff to communicate efficiently without using personal numbers.

Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Your Location Number

1. Click Your Profile

Navigate to the top menu bar, click your profile icon, and select the Numbers button to manage your SMS phone settings.

2. Start the Setup Process

Click the “Set Up Number” button to add a new phone number. You will be redirected to a page to complete the setup.

3.  Select Your Country:

Use the dropdown menu to choose your country of operation.


5.  Enter Your Area Code

In the Area Code field, type in the area code you'd like your SMS number to have. This helps ensure the number is local to your business.


6. :  Search for Available Numbers

Click the “Search For A Number” button. Fit Pro Tracker will return the top 30 available numbers that match your area code.


7.  Choose a Number

Browse through the list and select the number you prefer.

Tip: If none of the options suit you, simply click “Search For A Number” again to generate a new list of 30 alternatives.

Once selected, your number will be assigned to your location and can also be linked to a specific staff member for text communications.


A2P 10DLC Registration Section (NEW)

A new section has been added to the Phone Numbers page, allowing you to register your brand and campaign for compliant business messaging directly from the platform.

To start the process:
Click the “Start Registration” button to proceed to the registration page and begin the setup.


You will be redirected to the next page, where you can provide the required details to complete the registration process.


Important: This registration is a requirement from our phone carrier. Without completing the process and receiving approval, you will not be able to send SMS messages to your clients.

Viewing Active Numbers and Available Slots (NEW)

On the Numbers page, you can easily keep track of your location’s phone number usage:

  • Active Phone Numbers: See all the numbers currently assigned and in use for your location.

  • Available Slots: Check how many additional numbers you can add, helping you plan for future staff or campaigns.


There are also additional functionalities to help manage your location’s SMS number, particularly for Call Handling.
