Inbound and outbound calls play an important part in the marketing funnel of any company that is using this functionality. Inbound call optimization allows existing customers to have quick access to their sales or customer service needs. On the other hand, outbound call optimization improves the business’ sales, conversion rates, and revenues, and gives proactive support to both prospects and existing customers.
With this, the Fit Pro Tracker system conducted thorough testing to upgrade the calling feature to be made available for your use.
This system update is an optional feature that can be turned on for your account. Once turned on in the Fit Pro Tracker system, you will be able to make outbound and receive inbound calls whenever needed.
Moreover, another benefit of enabling this option is the capability to run marketing efforts to turn contacts into paying customers.
It will be available for only $20 per month and an additional 0.03 (or 1 credit) fee per minute or less for outbound calls. On the other hand, there won’t be any additional charges for inbound calls.
In this documentation, we are going to guide you through the following updates:
Purchasing and setting up the calling feature
Assigning a number to use for calls
Upgrades on the Credit Reports
Credit Reports’ own tab
1. Purchasing and setting up the calling feature
By default, permission to access this feature is granted only to log-in users tagged as Owners and Managers. However, Owners and Managers may grant or deny permission and access to selected staff members by turning on or off the Allow Call toggle under CRM Management and clicking the Update User Privileges button.
To grant permission, kindly refer to this article for a complete step-by-step guide: User Permissions | Fit Pro Tracker Basics
Once access has been granted, you can check out these steps to purchase and set up the calling feature:
Step 1: On the left menu, select the Location tab and then click Settings.
Step 2: Click the Billing button.
Step 3: From the options on the third line, click the Add Ons button to show all available add-on options.
Step 4: Click the Select button from the Calling Feature option.
Step 5: Upon clicking, a prompt will appear showing the details of the calling feature. Click the Purchase button to proceed.
Once the Purchase button is clicked, a prompt saying “Subscription Add On added successfully” will show.
To start making outbound calls after purchasing the calling feature, it's essential to set up Call Handling. Here's how:
Navigate to the Location tab in your Left Menu, then select Settings, followed by Numbers.
Click on the Edit Call Handling tab.
A pop-up window will appear. In this window:
Select Setup Outbound and switch on the toggle.
After completing these steps, don't forget to click Save to apply your changes.
After all steps are completed, a telephone icon will appear on the upper-right part of the screen. To access the calling feature, click the said icon, and a dialpad will appear on the right part of the screen.
2. Assigning a number to use for calls
If no number is assigned to you, the default global number will automatically be used when placing an outbound call in the dialpad.
Here are the steps on how to assign a number to use for outbound calling:
Step 1: On the left menu, select the Location tab and then click Settings.
Step 2: Click the Numbers button.
Step 3: Choose which number you want to use for outbound calling, and then click the Edit Call Handling button on the right side of the chosen number.
Step 4: A window will appear on the right side of the screen. Under Enable Outbound Calling, turn the toggle on to set up the chosen number. Once done, click the Save button.
Once the Save button is clicked, a prompt saying “Number Settings updated successfully” will show.
Pro Tip #1: All numbers in the system can have the calling feature.
3. Upgrades on the Credit Reports
Here are the steps on how to check out the upgrades on the Credit Reports:
Step 1: On the left menu, select the Location tab and then click Settings.
Step 2: Click the Billing button.
Step 3: From the options on the third line, click the Reports button.
On this screen, you can see the new user interface with the revamped setup of the functionalities. Additionally, the filters for the reports now include an outbound calls option.
Under Credit Usage, you can see the Outbound Calls filter by clicking the Credit Type dropdown.
As with the previous one, under Credit Forecast, you can see the Outbound Calls filter by clicking the Credit Type dropdown.
4. Credit Reports’ own tab
With this update, a new tab was added under Reports on the left menu — the Credit tab. This new Credit Tab allows quick access to Credit Usage and Credit Forecast—reports that are essential in the usage of the Calling Feature.
Here are the steps on how to check out the update on the Credit Reports:
Step 1: On the left menu, select the Reports tab.
Step 2: Click the Credits button.
Here, you can see the creation of a separate tab for these reports, which is also another way to access or generate the credit reports.
