The biggest difference between a freeze and pause of a member is knowing the end date.
How to Freeze A Membership
-Go to the contacts profile
-Click on the billing membership button
-Go down to the membership
-Click on the Freeze button
-Choose the different options (number of installments etc....)
-Click on "Confirm"
Note:
The freeze button will be disabled between 9:00 pm until 6:00 am EST the next day after the reconciliation process has been performed.

โHow to Pause A Membership
-Go to the contacts profile
-Click on the billing membership button
-Go down to the membership
-Click on the Pause button
-Choose a start date
-Choose the different options
-Click on "Confirm"
The system also generates a Paused/Freeze Memberships Report. This report can be found in the Billing menu under Reports. It will filter based on the date when the subscription will start to be on Freeze/Pause.
Important Note:
You can export to excel the Pause and Freezes Memberships.
