We have an article that discusses how to resolve the issue when the system fails to restore the correct subscription price due to a previous invoice or installment modification that failed. The process when the issue is accompanied by an in-progress invoice modification is similar.
Let's dive into how we address both the failure of a past Invoice and the impact on Invoice modifications that are currently in progress.
In scenarios where a customer has both a Current and Weekly subscription, it’s important to be aware of potential issues when modifying invoices. If you attempt to modify a customer's invoice from the previous week and it fails, the system will display a warning icon. This alert is crucial for identifying problems with past invoice modifications.
Additionally, when modifying an invoice, it's essential to remember that this is a two-day process. The modification covers both the day before and the date of the invoice. Therefore, if you've also modified the invoice amount of a current week, there may be an invoice modification currently in progress. Being aware of this process can help you better manage ongoing modifications and prevent further complications.
Here is an Example:
In the image below, you'll see a warning icon on the previous week's Invoice dated August 6, 2024, indicating a failed modification.
Additionally, for the recent week dated August 13, 2024, an arrow icon shows which indicates that a modification has been made to that specific invoice.
These icons serve as key indicators, helping you to quickly identify and differentiate between failed modifications and those that are currently in progress.
How to Fix the Issue
To resolve the issue with the failed Invoice Modification, you need to clean up the data by clicking the Manual Repair Button to restore the right price of the subscription while keeping in mind that there is also an Invoice modification currently in progress.
Steps:
Click the Manual Repair Button: This will clean up the failed action from the previous Invoice Modification. Allowing you to have the option to Modify the Date and the Subscription Amount.
Modify the Subscription Amount: Because the invoice modification in progress was not executed when you clicked the Manual Repair Button to clean the data, you will need to modify the subscription amount to either restore the original membership value or set it to the desired amount.
By recognizing and addressing these issues promptly, you can ensure that the correct subscription prices are reflected, maintaining the accuracy of your billing process.
