It is crucial for fitness center owners and managers to be aware of the notifications that their staff members are receiving. Apart from ensuring that notifications are received by the assigned staff member/s, this will also enable them to address issues promptly, assess team performance effectively, and foster open communication within the organization.
For owners and managers to have better control in assigning the notifications to be received location-wide and by selected staff members, we have updated the Fit Pro Tracker system to create a Notification Center, which serves as a centralized hub for all the settings relating to notifications.
Before this update, you can access your notification settings and set them up through these two (2) options:
Option 1: Go to your profile and click the Notification tab.
Option 2: On the left menu, go to Locations and then Settings. Under Settings, click the Notifications tab.
In this documentation, we will be discussing the newest feature infused into the system called the Notification Center and its new functionalities.
To access this newest feature in the Fit Pro Tracker system, kindly refer to the steps below:
On the left menu, select the Location tab and then click Notification Center.
Here you can see two (2) tabs: System Notifications and My Notifications.
A. System Notifications
In the System Notifications, you can see all the following notifications settings that you can turn or off, customize, and assign to groups of individual staff members:
Inbound Email - can be notified through Email, SMS, and/or Mobile Push
Inbound SMS - can be notified through Email, SMS, and/or Mobile Push
Submitted Forms - can be notified through Email and/or SMS
Submitted Digital Documents - can be notified through Email only
Checkout - can be notified through Email only
Call - can be notified through Email and/or SMS
New Leads - can be notified through Email only
1. Enable and Disable Notification Settings
You can turn on or off the notification settings by turning the toggle/s on or off on the right side of the screen.
2. Override System Notifications
By turning on the Customize toggle, this will override the notification settings in the My Notifications tab, allowing not only the assigned staff to be receiving notification, but also the specified staff members or group. A note saying, “Overridden by System Notifications” will be displayed in the specific setting in the My Notifications tab.
3. Assign Staff Members to Receive Notifications
Under the System Notifications tab, you can also select staff members individually that you would like to receive a specific notification. To do this, just type their name in the search box and select the staff member’s name.
4. Create and Assign a Group to Receive Notifications
To easily assign multiple staff members to receive a notification, you can create a group in the Fit Pro Tracker system. To create one you can refer to the following steps:
Step 1: On the left menu, Go to Staff, select the Grouping tab, and click the Add New Group button.
Step 2: Choose a group name, go to Staff Outside Group type the name of the staff member you want to add to the group, and select the staff member’s name. Once the name is selected, click the arrow pointing to the left to add the staff member to the group.
Step 3: Once all staff members have been added to the Staff Inside Group, you can go ahead and click the Save Group button. After saving, a “Staff Group saved” prompt will appear at the top center of the screen.
Note: You can edit the group details and add/remove members at any time. To remove already added staff members, simply select the staff member’s name from the Staff Inside Group list and click the arrow pointing to the right. Once done, click the Save Group button.
Step 4: Go back to the System Notifications tab under the Notification Center and select the group you wish to add.
B. My Notifications
In the My Notifications tab, you can see all the following notification settings that were previously present on your user profile:
Inbound Email - can be notified through Email, SMS, and/or Mobile Push
Inbound SMS - can be notified through Email, SMS, and/or Mobile Push
Submitted Forms - can be notified through Email and/or SMS
Submitted Digital Documents - can be notified through Email only
Checkout - can be notified through Email only
Call - can be notified through Email and/or SMS
Assigned Contact - can be notified through Email and/or SMS
Direct Message - can be notified through Mobile Push only
It is very important to note how crucial this Notification Center is for all owners and managers in a fitness facility, as this will affect the notifications to be received by the staff members, which will then greatly affect the internal information exchange within a location.
