The shopping cart option allows you to begin putting items into a virtual cart, navigate away from the POS, and pick up where you left off when you enter the cart again.

This can be done from the Retail menu item or from a contact's profile if you wish to build a cart for a specific contact.

Example:

You add items to a cart and click the Checkout button to proceed with completing the purchase.

You will be directed to this page.

1. You will need to identify the purchasing customer if he's a guest who's not a member but just purchasing a product, or you can search for an existing client if he's a member.

NOTE: If you selected a guest person, a profile will be created for that person in your FPT account as a lead.

2. Next is selecting a payment method to be used. Whether the paying client is a guest or a member, there's an option to choose between cash and credit card payments.

3. Once everything is filled out, you can now click the "Complete order" Button.

If you navigate away from the POS page or your system times out when you return to the POS system the items will still be reflected in the cart to finish the transaction.

--You may also add items directly to a specific contact's cart.

Just go to the contact's profile. Above the contact's name, click the shopping cart icon.

Once you've selected the items, you'll need to check them out. To complete the process, remember to click the Complete Order tab.

In the same process mentioned above, you will select the item to be purchased, proceed to checkout, and fill out the details, except this time the customer's name is auto populated since you did it directly on his profile. You will just need to select a payment method and complete the order.

If you navigate away from the contact profile for any reason before checking out, the staff can return to the cart of the customer and the cart items will still be loaded and ready for checkout.
