You can send a text to different contacts at the same time.

Batch texting gives you the possibility to choose contacts from the "All Contacts" group or any other group you want.

You must ensure you have permission to be able to send Batch SMS.

Using the Filters button allows you to segment your list of people to whom you want to send a batch SMS.

Next, using the checkboxes on the left of the record, start selecting those to select them.  Once you have the selected contacts, the Batch Dropdown button will appear.  If you have permission, Batch SMS will be available to you.

You can add templates for the texts.

  • Batch identifier: Batch ID, please send this number to the support team if you have questions about the batch.

  • Summary: Visual contact summary that allows you to keep closer control of the amount of contact and contact groups the batch will be sent to.

  • Contact Lists: You have the option to remove a contact whose email is disabled to receive emails because they unsubscribed their email address is invalid or the email bounced for some reason.

Our phone carrier sends one message per second, so depending on the number of contacts you are sending the batch to, our phone carrier will take a few minutes to send them. For example, if you send the SMS to 300 contacts the last contact will get the SMS text 5 minutes later than the first contact.

Important Note:

  • As an Owner, you can select what number you want to send the SMS from, either the location number or another staff member's number (Additional Numbers). The idea of this is that if a staff member is on vacation or is not in for the day and there are some texts they have to reply to, the Owner can send them for them.

  • A message will appear each time you send a batch SMS to remind you that it is not advisable to send messages to a large number of contacts simultaneously that need to be acknowledged. This notification will also provide additional recommendations to help ensure compliance with phone carrier policies and guidelines, thereby preventing account suspension and ensuring uninterrupted messaging.

*Disclaimer*- Phone carriers can potentially block your number if they see the same type of message being sent to large groups and they can deem it as a threat, spam, etc.  If you choose to proceed then we suggest warming up your new number first. This can be done by receiving responses to your number and/or sending SMS in blocks of 250-500.
