New Retail Enhancements

This article outlines the latest Point of Sale (POS) enhancements, including new discount tools, improved product uploads, and a new Help button for easy access to POS guidance.

1. New Wholesale Discount (One-Click at Checkout)

Overview

You can now apply a Wholesale Discount directly at checkout with a single click — as long as the product is configured correctly.

How It Works

If:

  • The "Allowed Discount" option is enabled for the product, and

  • A Wholesale Price is entered in the product settings

Then:

  • A Wholesale Discount option becomes available at checkout.

  • With one click, the system applies the wholesale price to that item.

Important Notes

  • The discount applies only to items where:

    • "Allowed Discount" is enabled.

    • A Wholesale Price has been configured.

2. New "Discounts" Button on the POS Screen

Overview

A new "Discounts" button has been added directly to the POS interface.

How It Works

  1. Click the Discounts button.

  2. You’ll be redirected to the list of created discounts.

  3. Select the desired discount.

  4. The system automatically applies it to:

    • All eligible items in the cart

    • Only items with "Allowed Discount" enabled

3. New Help Button – POS Help Guide Access

A new Help button has been added to the POS interface.


Clicking this button gives users direct access to structured guidance on the following areas:

POS Overview

The Help section explains:

  • What is POS – An overview of how the Point of Sale system works.

  • POS Screen Layout – Displays available panels.

  • Customer & Inventory – How to process POS sale on existing or guest clients, and how products are tracked.


Discounts and Wholesale

The Help guide includes:

  • Types of DiscountsGeneral Discount, Category Discount, Individual Discount, Customer Discount, Wholesale Pricing.

  • How Discounts Stack – Rules that determine whether multiple discounts apply together.

  • Worked Examples – Examples showing how totals are calculated.

Taxes and Pricing

Users can learn:

  • How Taxes Work – How tax is calculated (inclusive vs exclusive).

  • How to Edit Taxes – Where to modify product tax settings.

  • Price Override Option – How authorized users can manually adjust pricing.

  • Reading the Cart Summary – Understanding subtotal, discounts, taxes, and total.

  • Worked Example with Multiple Items – Pricing breakdown example.

Cart and Checkout

The Help button provides detailed guidance on:

  • Cart Operations – Adding, removing, updating items, etc.

  • Edit Panel Detail – Adjusting quantity, amount, discount, etc.

  • Checkout Process – Reviewing cart and confirming payment.

  • Payment Methods – Cash, Credit card/ACH, and split payments (if enabled).

  • Completing the Order – Finalizing the transaction.

  • Scanner Tab vs POS Tab – Differences between quick barcode scanning mode and full POS interface mode.


4. Improved Product Upload Process

What’s New

  • All required fields are now displayed upfront before uploading.

  • Clear visibility into mandatory data requirements.

5. New Import History Tab

Overview

A new Import History tab has been added to improve visibility and tracking of product uploads.

How To Access The Tab:

  • Click the Products Menu on the left side of your screen under the Retail Category.

  • Click the Upload Products Button on the upper left side of the Product screen.

  • Click the Import History tab.

  • Select the list of Imported file on the Drop down menu.

  • Once selected, the product information will display and if you disable the toggle showing on the screen, it will display all the products created/uploaded successfully.

  • If the toggle is disabled, it will show you the list of products that failed and important notes displaying the reason why the upload failed.
