Setting Up POS Discounts on a Client’s Profile

The Client-Based POS Discounts feature allows you to set up personalized discounts for individual clients. Once configured, the discount automatically applies each time the client’s profile is pulled up during a purchase — making checkout smoother and faster.


⚙️ How to Set Up a Client-Based POS Discount

  1. Go to the Client’s Profile.

  2. Click on the Billing tab.

  3. On the left side of the screen, scroll all the way down to the POS Discount section and click on Edit.

  4. Enter the Discount Percentage (must be an integer between 1 and 100).

  5. Add a Note — this will serve as the name or description of the discount that appears during the POS checkout.

  6. Once everything is configured, click Save.

💡 The client’s POS discount is now stored in their profile and will automatically apply when their barcode is scanned during checkout.


🛒 How to Apply the Discount During Checkout

Discounts can be applied in two ways:

Option 1: Scan the Discount Code

If you have a barcode scanner connected:

  • Simply scan the client's barcode during checkout.

  • The system automatically populates the customer account and applies the configured client-based POS discount to the current transaction.

Option 2: Enter the Discount Code Manually

  • In the POS checkout screen, type the customer's email address into the search bar and hit Enter.

    ⚠️ Note: Discounts will only apply to products that have “Allow Discounts” enabled in their product settings.

  • Use clear notes when setting up discounts for easier tracking in POS reports.

  • Review client discounts periodically to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Inform your staff about which clients have permanent or ongoing discounts to avoid confusion during checkout.
