At Fit Pro Tracker, we strive to make managing your contacts seamless, and we've recently revamped the look and feel of the Import Contacts feature. While the functionality remains just as intuitive as before, we've given it a fresh, modern design to improve your experience.

What’s New?

The Import Contacts option has received a visual update that enhances clarity and ease of use. The new layout provides a cleaner, more intuitive interface, helping you navigate the contact import process effortlessly. From the restructured group selection to clearer icons, the fresh look makes it easier to categorize your contacts into Leads, Prospects, Trials, Members, or Past groups.

Why the Change?

This update is part of our ongoing effort to improve usability based on user feedback. We understand that managing contacts is a crucial aspect of running your business, and we want to ensure that this process is as smooth and efficient as possible. The redesigned interface not only modernizes the look of the Import Contacts feature but also enhances its functionality, making it easier for you to quickly organize and manage your contacts. Our goal is to continuously enhance your experience and help you save time while managing your client base.

Follow these simple steps to import your contacts:

1. Go to Import Contacts:
From the top menu, navigate to the Import Contacts submenu.

2. Select a Contact Group:
Choose the contact group you wish to import (e.g., Leads, Members), then scroll down to view the required fields for that group.

3. Download the Sample CSV:
Download the sample CSV file for the selected group to ensure your data is formatted correctly.

4. Prepare Your CSV File:
Once your CSV file is ready with the required fields, click the Import Contacts button.

5. Upload Your File:
A pop-up window will appear where you can either drag and drop your CSV file or click to select it from your device.

6. Review Your Data:
After uploading, you'll have the chance to review your data for accuracy.

7. Map Fields (If Needed):
If you need to adjust the mapping of any fields, click on the relevant field header and select a different option from the dropdown menu.

8. Verify and Correct Errors:
On the verification step, you'll be able to fix any errors in the data. To make it easier, you can click the Show Invalid Rows Only tab to focus on entries that need attention.

Import History

After completing your imports, you can use the Import History tab to review past uploads. This section allows you to:

  • Check the status of each contact.

  • View which contacts were successfully imported.

  • Identify any contacts that failed to import.

To make troubleshooting easier, you can enable the Show Failed toggle to display only the contacts that weren’t successfully imported.

This feature ensures that all your contact data is processed accurately, and you can easily track and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.

If you have a file that contains more than 1000 contacts you will need to split them into separate files of 1000. Otherwise, when you go to import them you will receive a message advising that you cannot import more than 1000 at a time.

This feature helps you keep track of your import activities and ensures all contact data is properly processed.
